Our Silver
We work primarily in 950 fine silver, a higher-purity silver traditionally used in Peruvian filigree.
Most silver jewelry in the United States is made from 925 sterling silver, which contains 92.5% silver and added alloys for strength. 950 silver contains 95% pure silver. Because of of its higher purity, it's brighter, warmer in tone, and takes on a softer, more luminous finish than standard sterling. It’s also more malleable, allowing artisans to shape intricate filigree by hand without sacrificing detail.
We choose 950 silver because it best reflects the character of our work - light, dimensional, and made slowly by hand.
